JESSE M. ROBREDO (1958 - 2012) image: president.gov.ph |
Imbued with stern leadership
well-regarded by his constituents
in stewardship he excels
Making him a leader beyond compare.
Dedication, transparency and even honesty
By these virtues imminent in his being
Brought him to a pedestal of
Exemplary leader beyond description.
In day's work, he did his tasks
to extra-ordinaire, for others
to emulate and follow
As a worker worthy of his job's pay.
He has time for everything:
attending meetings, conferences and you name it
But he never, never neglecting his family.
- A family man beyond reproach.
So to speak, he's a leader par excellence
But he's no perfect nor invincible.
God controls his fate -
Thus, he's taken back to His Maker's world.
This man is Jesse Robredo -
A man of character,
A man of integrity,
And a man beyond compare.

He will be remembered as a good man. And that in itself is good, sir.
ReplyDeleteH lived a simple life which was not common for a politician but he was of a different breed, the one that knows and values public service above personal fame.
ReplyDeleteA man with dignity, love for country and family. He will always be remembered.
ReplyDeletehis passing moved almost every citizen of our country... there is so much about his character that is told... so inspiring...
ReplyDeleteI have a co-teacher here who is from Naga and told me about Jesse's accomplishments. Indeed, he's a man beyond compare.
ReplyDeleteRIP to him. Hoping that a lot of man is really man enough to be in his shoes! and inspire other people! xx
ReplyDeleteRIP to him he did what he needed to do and he was called home to be with The Father.
ReplyDeleteRIP. it's quite a loss for the public sector.
ReplyDeletea fitting tribute to a true and loved public servant/official who believes that power lies in the people, his gift - decent governance is possible and workable!
ReplyDeleteThough I really don't know him but I hear so many good things about him may he rest in peace..
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, seny. I only knew him just recently. He will be remembered as a good man.
Deleterest in peace Jesse .. hope the one will succeed you emulates your example ... same with all the gov officials...
ReplyDeletei hope all our leaders would emulate the good deeds done by late Sec. Robredo.
ReplyDeleteTruly a man of character...I wish there will be more like him in our political areana... To the great man, Sec. Jesse, I salute you for a job well done...
ReplyDeleteSec. Jessie will always in our hearts and I hope that all of our government officials would do the same thing as what Sec. Jessie did.
ReplyDeletehonestly, I never knew him or any of his works. But just like what I've read somewhere, sometimes that how a good man works. he doesn't need to be loud and boast of all the things he has done.
ReplyDeleteHis good works should not be put to waste and should be seen to fruition.
ReplyDeleteVery well done Sir Gil. Sec Jesse is one great person who lived his life for the service of the people and still died for the very same purpose. He leaves a humble but dignified life.
ReplyDeleteOh, I miss seeing secretary Robredo on TV. I salute him for his good works.
ReplyDeleteIt's almost a year and still feel that he is a big loss and could have been a good fit for higher position.
ReplyDeleteA man who has the capacity to translate vision in to reality.
ReplyDeleteSurely his good works and contribution to the government is always remembered by everyone.
ReplyDeleteI really our leaders will be inspired by his death and live a humble life like he did..
ReplyDeleteI hope there will be more public servants like him so that our country will be in good hands.
ReplyDeleteHe is a good man indeed. A true servant of God and mankind.
ReplyDeleteThe late Jesse Robredo was one of the most celebrated and awarded local politicians of his time, aside from being a well-loved mayor of Naga.
ReplyDeleteI also find Him a simple man who never saw himself as someone special or above the rest due to his status. He led because he wanted to serve. I’ve never been a fan of Politics, but I did admire Jesse Robredo for being a remarkable politician.
I thought Mr. Jesse Robredo is just like any other politician. I knew all about the good things he done after the tragic accident.
ReplyDeleteEven I don't know him very well I believed he is really a good person.
ReplyDeleteGood politicians with great dreams for the Filipino are few and far in between - Jesse is someone we will definitely rue losing :(
ReplyDeleteI just hope all politicians are like him. It really saddened me when I knew about his death. :(
