There is a tree
It dangled buffeted nuts
Shrunken unmet ripeness
Before a lady's window
She no longer sees what lies
In twisted branches design
To explain a watery insanity
Suffocating crashing drowning
Inundating claimants of dead flesh
Entangled on unsawn limbs of trees
Who will vindicate the rain
Who will justify the flood?
