Love vs Fear

Love vs Fear

Love treats herself well
Goes out with full confidence
But fear is afraid of himself, fears himself.

Love walks with her head up
Whistling a tune so sweet
But fear keeps on stooping down.

Love conquers all
Making things sweet and worth living for Thus making fear cowers, meek, submissive, docile.

Why Should I Thank You?

The poet and his wife and son
The poet with his wife and son

Why Should I Thank You?

by Wellgen Caimpon Tagaduar

The moment you accepted me in your life
I know that I have come across a lot this time
All the trouble, heartache and pain I made to you
What I can say is that “Thank You” for your love that is so true.

My life is full of imperfections
But you give me the right directions
Sometimes I decided in giving up
But you are always there to support and lift me up.

You love me for who I am
Accepted all my discrepancies and shortcomings
Straightened my misdirected ways
And give beautiful meaning to my life

Thank You for all the chances you give
Thank You for all the forgiveness and patience
Thank You for the unending love
Thank You because you completed my life.

coda...of sophomoric lines

(a repost poem of my friend, filoteo mendaza villas aguillon, posted in his own FB account. - admin)

coda...of sophomoric lines

sing o soul
sing the lifting song
of a fervid love for tonight
i rejoice and reminisce with delight
the tender clutch of virginia’s arms
and the engulfing haven of her charms
the sweet clinging kisses that taste like wine
the tingling press of pert breasts on mine

sing with the tempo
of flesh conjoining
of desire consuming
of harried breaths and
suppressed cries reaching
for uncharted heavens
and bursting stars

virginia you claimed victory in your surrender
as i plummeted down quaking in subdued implosions
heaving hefting reliving old passions old scars

sing loudly in ferment o soul
drown my infertile anguish
tonight am impassioned
but irredeemably alone...

Three Poems on Love and Marriage, Happy Soul and Solstice

3-Happy Soul

by Gil Camporazo

Wow!
What a lovely
Flowers in bloom
Colorful, bright
Perfect in sight.
They're wonderful
Brighten up my soul

2-Love and Marriage

by Gil Camporazo

I smiled at her.
She smiled back.
I winked.
She did too.
I fell in love with her.
She too did
And we got married.

1-Solstice
by Gil Camporazo

The night is long
In December
Why is it so?
An expert may say so
That's winter solstice
Works its way
To make night long.

God Is Love

In 1 John 4:8, (KJV)  it says that He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. It is very clear that he who doesn't love especially his fellow being, doesn't know that there is God. For love is the very attribute of God. The following is a poem why God is love.

God Is Love

by Gil Camporazo

God provides everything for His spirit children.

God overcomes temptations as challenges in any form, that they may come across as they live.

God remembers those who are least among His children.

God tries everyone but not beyond his or her capacity to bear.

God instills the best values for His children to make them obedient and exemplar being.

God accepts everyone who falls and trespasses His laws and commandments for He is God of love.

Confused but Determined

The Poet

Confused
by Chinkee Claridad

What did you do to me?
How did you make me feel this way?
I don't wanna fall for you;
That is the last thing I ever wanna do.

You are not the kind of person
To whom I wanna trust my heart with
But should I still go on with my reasons
When the feelings have reciprocated?

On no! This can't be!
I can't believe that I fall in love easily.
I know this is not something new,
But I'm really afraid to commit to you.

Maybe, I should put the blame on gravity
Which makes me float when you are near
Or should it be on me?
For thinking so much if you're not here.

My brains says no
But my heart beats I like you too
Now, I don't really know what to do,
It's hard to choose between the two.

II

Being with you will never be faux,
Joining hands with you will be a go;
Just like the sough by my side,
I could hear you whisper gently
If our worlds collide.

I would never have to lose heart again
Even if I keep harping on the same string;
Presage could no longer have its turn,
If in my present world, you are around.

I would no longer have a face
as long as a fiddle;
For a sole smile from you gives my heart a tickle
Every moment with you would be a roller coaster ride;
Love would spin me around
If our worlds collide.

A knock-out man like you is few-and-far-between
In you, I found a better paradise
under heaven;
Your absence makes my heart grow fonder,
If our worlds collide, I dare say
I would be crazier.

A Poem To My Mother On Mother's Day

The author and his mother

"A Poem To My Mother On Mother's Day"
by Rudy Lanceta

Another Mother's Day Is Here,
And I Still Miss Having You Near,
You Were The Best Mom You Could Be,
And I Never Once Doubted Your Love For Me.

A Long Time Ago You Told Me,
No One Will Ever Harm My Dear Rudy,
You'd Save My Life From All Harm,
Tight In Your Arms, Safe And Warm.

I Could Spend Each Mother's Day In Sorrow,
Crying And Wishing You Were Here,
But Instead I Choose To Celebrate Your Life,
A Life I Still Hold So Dear.

I Know You'd Rather See Me Smile
Than Stand Here With Tears In My Eyes.
So I'll Do My Best To Honor Your Memory,
And You'll Live On As Long As I Am Alive.

The Girl I Need in My Life

Love in silhouette

I was 17 years old then when I first met my high school sweetheart who turned to be my wife for 43 faithful years now.

I was caught by her shiny, clean, black long hair. I loved caressing it but I couldn't for we'd not got acquainted yet each other.

Late that night, while I was studying my recent taken notes, I stopped and started imagining things out of nowhere. Until, I composed this short poem of adoration.

The Girl I Need in My Life

How lovely is the evening
Thinking a lady in her eyes beaming
Is she the girl I need in my life
To give me joy and happiness for life?

Yeah, the feeling is right
That beautiful damsel emerging in the night
Making me glad, feeling so fine
Till the end of time, she's truly mine.

Believe it or not - and this should be
For we are one - she is me and me is she
She's cute, so frail, so dearly
For time and eternity,
we're in a big family.

Note: I found out it later that we have the same birthdays.

By the way, this is a repost from my article "The Night When I Become Poetic" in ForumCoin[dot]com. I use the username of "Nakitakona" there.

If You Meet My Girlfriend*

by Gil Camporazo

Juliet Ajaab
Juliet Ajaab
If you meet my girlfriend tell her I tried
I had to tell her a lie for a reason
Every time I hurt her within me died too
So please, if you meet her tell her
I'm still longing for her.

If you meet my girlfriend tell her I've suffered too
It was always about her, always deep inside me I love her
I've caused so much pain in her heart
and it terribly made me crazy.
If you meet my girlfriend tell her though I'm a man
I do have to shed tears too.

If you meet my girlfriend tell her that I've to depart ways
Though I'm terribly caring and loving person,
but I'm forced to keep it all alone by myself
Even though I want to stay, my heart knows I have to move on
If you meet my girlfriend please tell her I've a dreaded disease!
But I'm still waiting for her in heaven.

Deserving Good Deeds

Deserving Good Deeds

by Gil Camporazo

Pseudoism and lying futile
Unlike honesty so very fertile
Enriches the reputation of a man
Like a golden spark of the shining sun.

The supreme protagonist that is love
Like the white plumage of the pious, holy dove
Glorifies one's innate personality
And causes the downfall of the enemy.

Insane, foolish, and lunatic chaps truly --
The outcasts of society as deem intrinsically.
Behold they are human like us
Be sympathetic, be demure so as.

Be misguided not: "A honey tongue, a heart of gall..."
Be rather sincere, be faithful in all
Be full of love, full of care in thy needs
For they are good and deserving deeds.
